Includes detailed accounts of her work with refugees and orphans in Armenia, the Soviet Union and Turkey in the aftermath of World War I; the Armenian massacres of 1919-1923; the Greco-Turkish War, 1921-1922; and the advance of Bolshevik forces in Georgia and Armenia in 1920. Also includes descriptions of her subsequent work for the Georgian Manganese Company in Čiatʻura, Georgia, 1926-1927.
